About Me
Christopher Hopkins
Chris is a specialist regulatory barrister (qualified in England and Wales) at No5 Chambers who is registered as a Public Access practitioner. This means that along with accepting work from solicitors to act for their clients, businesses and individuals are also able to contact him directly for advice and representation. Where Public Access is appropriate then it will often result in significant cost savings for the client whilst not compromising on quality.

Chris has been practising since 2005 and, whilst Midlands based, operates nationwide. Having started out as a criminal practitioner, Chris now specialises in regulatory crime and compliance including road traffic law, health and safety, licensing and environmental law.
Chris prides himself on providing a high quality service to his clients at a competitive cost. Where a matter is not suitable for Public Access then Chris can (if requested) direct you towards a solicitor or other professional who can help. Contact Chris now for a short "no fee" discussion.
Benefits of Public Access
Not every case will be suitable for Chris to do on a Public Access basis and he will quickly advise you when a solicitor or other professional should become involved. Where a case is suitable for Public Access, however, then Chris will agree a fixed price with you for a specified piece of work avoiding the uncertainty of lawyers' hourly rates. Chris is a specialist regulatory barrister with years of experience in doing these types of cases. He has successfully represented the full range of clients from multi-national corporations to charities and individuals, and uses this experience to ensure that all clients receive timely, clear and appropriate advice to resolve their matters.
